Jordan Keys DO (she/her/hers) is currently faculty at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and is serving as director of the Osteopathic Medicine Center. She previously served as interim OMM department chair at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCCOM) in Vallejo, CA. She is board certified in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine /Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
She has a passion for learning about and educating future physicians on osteopathic medicine, structural considerations that contribute to health care disparities- including structural racism and LGBTQIA health care disparities and approaches to somatic trauma- currently completing an integrative somatic trauma therapy course through the Embody Lab.
She has had the opportunity to create curriculums related to structural competency and cultural humility. In her current position in New York, she continues her passion helping to hold space for inclusive programs and is always working towards creating safer, trauma informed, spaces for all.
She has spoken nationally on topics ranging from exercise is medicine, trauma informed care/systems to health care considerations in the LGBTQIA community.
Dr. Keys is also the the co-founder of the conference on osteopathic research and knowledge (CORK)- this an international conference that brings together the top osteopathic researchers in the world. It is conference designed to share innovative /cutting edge research and foster mentorship relationship and opportunities. CORK has support from the following national osteopathic organizations: American Osteopathic Association (AOA), American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) and American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF).
Alongside her husband, Dr. Keys is also the co-founder of Igodo Insights Consulting, LLC which is devoted to educating communities on creating community, compassion and belonging through the lens of trauma informed systems.
